Assistant Merchandiser:
Job Role:
To work closely with the Senior Merchandiser, Stock Allocators and Buying Team to help manage the ordering and distribution of stock within the business. The candidate will have experience in merchandising, ideally in a Fashion department. The candidate needs to be able to analyse large amounts of data and make recommendations based on it. There is also an element of team management where the role requires managing and training of the Allocators in the team.
Job Duties:
o To compile and analyse stock and sales reports and make recommendations regarding stock distribution.
o Assistance with planning the Division at Category and Brand level, with use of in house tools and prior knowledge gained from past experience at other retailers.
o Assistance with Planning for future buys, trading of current and older seasons, and an ability to plan, execute and monitor Markdowns to manage all Fashion stock.
o As well as working with the Buying and Retail teams, regular communication with the Vendors, Warehouse, Area Managers, Ships and internal departments will also be required.
o Ship visits in order to review stock packages & attendance at some Vendor meetings.

Job skills:
Should be able to work using own initiative and within a team. Have exceptional organisational and numerical skills and the ability to prioritise. Retail and Excel experience are essential, as is a working knowledge of Fashion Merchandising. A basic knowledge of supply chain management is recommended but not essential. A desire to learn and develop skills is also required.
